1998 Toyota Avalon XLS review from North America
"If you want a Luxury car disguised as a toyota. Get this one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
AC sometimes works during summer season. (works perfectly fine in the cold winter)
Sensors damaged :CHECK ENGINE (only one so far)
Breaks make a squeaking sound when stopping.
Starter problem. Solution: Get a new starter.
U Turns: Not very good at all. Makes wide turns.
General comments?
A tune up can make this car run twice as smooth.
Very smooth ride, luxurious feel.
Gas economy is average to good.
Has a powerful pull when accelerating.
Passengers in the back seat tend to fall asleep when in motion.
Very roomy and spacey in the back.
Can even look as luxurious as a Lexus next to Lexus cars around same age.
Steering is very smooth with good force.
A musician's trunk: I can fit my keyboard and guitar and drums parts and sports jacket, with a small luggage of clothes, all at the same time and have just a little bit of space to spare!
