Broken air vent in cabin (Fixed under warranty)
Absolutely no rear legroom. Forget putting adults in the rear seat.
Audi must use the cheapest tyres they can get their hands on. Mine squeal and carry on just going around a roundabout.
Other than that no complaints.
Fantastic car so far. Never a problem and drives a treat.
Whatever you do, don't buy one new. Get one that's 2-3 years old with the factory extended warranty. The trade in you'll be offered on a 2-3 year old AUDI is an insult. Currently trying to trade mine on a Volvo wagon. I'm getting offered half what I paid for it 2 1/2 years ago.
I have a 2003 A4 (B6) 2.0. How can I tell if it is a 6-speed TIP or a CVT?
I browse through some forums for A4 and it seems to me that CVT has a very common problem in relation to the transmission. It can happen anywhere from 50,000 miles onwards.
Should I get rid of my car before I have the CVT tranny problem?
I think all 2.0L 4cyl B6 Audis have the CVT, and from what I could gather is that, if you look after it, e.g. service it regularly at a reputable place, it should last.
You also have to remember forums tend to be filled with problems rather than praise, as a lot of people go onto forums to trouble shoot.
I'm considering buying a B6 with CVT myself, and before I do I'll have the CVT checked.
