"Crappy car with crappy fuel consumption. Spend more on gas than my car note."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I bought the car used with 120,000 miles so I knew it wouldn't be perfect, but I knew the previous owner and he always kept up the maintenance on his vehicles.

I had to replace the alternator when I first got it.

Replaced the fuel pump at 122,000 miles (previous owner said he had replaced it the previous year.

The drivers and passenger side doors leak water and the road noise is unbearable at highway speeds.

4X4 doesn't work.

Windshield wipers work when they want to (can't wait to test that out here in the winter in Chicago).

Handles to adjust the seats are all broken.

Back seats will not fold down.

Have replaced brakes twice already.

3 of the speakers are blown.

Fog lights and side mirrors shake uncontrollable while driving.

Currently front passenger axle needs to be replaced.

Both rear shocks need replacing.

Door locks and windows work sometimes and the drivers side lock won't unlock most of the time with the key.

My biggest gripe is the gas mileage. I have done tune ups, cleaned the injectors, replaced the fuel lines and I still average about 14 miles per gallon. That is insane especially now with gas prices.

General comments?

I have one more payment on this truck and then it is gone. I have spent an average of 350 dollars a month in gas alone for this truck. Not willing to invest the money to fix all the little things wrong with the truck. Seems like they all have the same problems. Had a 98 Chevy Malibu also and was fairly unhappy with the repair costs of it. Bought it after a new engine was installed and spent over 2000 dollars in other repair costs the same year.

The brakes: I thought this was just a regular thing for every car (Blazer being my first car), but when I found out that is not normal to have to do brake work every two months, I was horrified. Does anyone else have this problem? Or could this be me being a stop and go driver.
