Had to replace the ball-joints head gas kit blew at 110000mi replaced the window seals last year.
The car has had a cold air intake systim added.
It will blow the doors off of a 2005 Comaro SS & 2005 Mustaing GT.
Very comfortable very fast and handles very well it will take a 10mph turn at 50mph.
"It will blow the doors off of a 2005 Comaro SS & 2005 Mustaing GT."
Uh huh..
"Very comfortable very fast and handles very well it will take a 10mph turn at 50mph."
Yeah, that's totally believable.
I don't know. I've got one myself and besides all the rust it's a pretty good machine for an older car. I've never pushed it that hard before, but I bet it performs decent.
Comaro & musteiengs?? Never heard of them??
I have a 1988 Z24 and I assure you it will not come close to beating a camaro or a mustang. The old 2.8 V6 camaros yeah, but not an SS. Even the newer V6 camaro would beat it. Don't put a bad name for these cars by saying stuff about them that isn't true. Thank you.
Well, considering the fact that there is no such thing as a 2005 Camaro, I will just use the '02 SS specs instead, as well as the '05 mustang GT specs.
The Camaro has a 5.7 liter LS1 Naturally Aspirated V-8, it is a front end place rear wheel drive engine, with 16 OHV valvetrain, 8 Cylinders, and a displacement of 5,665 cc, which pushes out 325 horses at 5200 RPM, and 340 ft. lbs. of torque at 4000 RPM. sending it 0-60 in an amazing 5.1 seconds. also enabling it to run a 13.9 second quarter mile in 13.9's hitting 98 mph, and tops out at about 155.
Now the 2005 Ford Mustang GT runs on a 4.6 liter v-8 engine, placed in the front of the car pushing it with the rear wheels, with 24 valves SOHC, with a displacement at about 4,606, it pushes out 300 horses at 6000 RPMs, and 315 ft-lbs of torque at 4250 RPMs, redlining at 6250, all this power shoots if as fast 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, and enables it to make a quarter mile in 13.9 seconds, at 104 mph, topping speed at about 150 mph.
The Cavalier z24 coupe, has a 2.8 liter 125 v6 pushing out a measly 125 horses, and a pretty good 160 ft-lbs of torque for its size that aint bad, but is sure isn't a camaro or mustang, its displacement is 2835 cc,
all this so called power pushes it about 15 seconds of the quarter mile, at about 95 mph, it is pretty good, but not good enough to beat the competition. The 1999 cavalier and up might stand a chance on keeping up with the Camaro and Mustang, but there is no way it betters them.
I have been doing this for some time now, so before you go claiming random thoughts get your fact straight.
Even the newest cav's with the ecotec and a 5spd won't even come CLOSE to any V8 powered camaro or Mustang. The 6 cylinder ones it would be a driver's race.. These older V6 cav's die out past 4500 rpms.. 3400 swap anyone? www.v6z24.com for more info.
I know for a fact that that car can do that. I have one with 2.8 and a turbo, and I took the new c6 corvette, and a few Camaros, the new Mustang is very slow, and the Firebirds couldn't even keep up...so all you out there that don't beleive him, give me a call and I'll take your car...
^lol...
Turboing a 2nd gen motor is like giving a fat kid steroids to run a marathon. lol.
The older "Quad 4" (which, I don't think was ever used in the Cavalier) was a much more powerful and faster engine than the new Eco Tech 4. I traded a high-output 5.0 Mustang for a Grand Am with the Quad 4 and I lost surprisingly little in the way of performance.
