2000 Chevrolet Impala review from North America
"OK, but would NOT buy myself"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My fiance and I were involved in a serious car accident on 10/31/09 (Afternoon, light rain) when some guy pulled out right in front of us and we couldn't stop/swerve and hit him.
It caused serious damage to the front end of our car - a lot more to the right side - however the AIRBAGS DID *NOT* DEPLOY!!! Yet the car is equipped with them. It also caused a crack in the windshield & bent the rear roof rack bar down to touch the roof..
Can someone please let us know if this has happened before or there is a recall... as we were hurt in the accident!
THANK YOU!!!
There have been other issues; water on the floor that we have found comes from the AC "drain"line & sometimes when it rains. Coolant system had to be replaced recently as the car overheated.. "Minor" things like that. And no rear cup holders!
General comments?
Wish it had a temp/climate control that was "numbers" instead of "colours" - thus able to tell you what the outside temp is. More seat "positions".
