Beginning at 24th month: Sending Unit replaced twice; Fuel tank and all fuel lines replaced; Fuel pump replaced; Brake noise has been a constant problem and has not been fixed. There were 8 recall notices in first two years. Many other ongoing problems. Car lacks reliability. Biggest problem has been Chrysler dealer service: Appallingly bad!
Although this convertible's design/looks are excellent, overall vehicle reliability is far worse than average. Chrysler dealer service is terrible: problems don't get fixed, new problems caused while vehicle is in for service, service advisor's have terrible attitude, very poor customer service. I would never again buy a Chrysler. Also, will Mercedes service get dragged down to Chrysler's level with the Daimler Chrysler merge?
I think that when you buy a car you should make sure it has all that you want and need to serve you well!
This car has all the options I wanted and I love it! This is the second one I have bought! The service department has always been very good to me, I think the tool to service people is communication. If you don't like a car then sell it and make a wise decision on your next purchase.
I agree I have been a chrysler fan for many years and the first car I ever drove in was a 1984 Dodge 600 Convertible, yes a k car, but you know what after 500,000 km I still sold it for 2500 LOL because I had to move, I see so many convertibles on the road now and I'm going to go get me a used Sebring LOL problems or not, most of the time its not the car its the driver and the way the car is used, PEOPLE it's a summer car get yourself a old crap box for the winter and leave your poor sebring indoors, that's all I have to say LOL thanks all, my next post will be when I have a sebring hahaha I'm looking at a 97 sebring Jxi for $8000 it only has 80 thousand km on it, as I will only use it for a summer car on the best of days other than that I have my Buick regal.
I just want to say, I agree, the car should be used as a convertible, and a cherished one at that. It should be driven in nice weather, and if you want to drive in the winter find a nice jeep or something of that nature to drive. I have had my 1997 Sebring convertible since 2000 and I have 180000 miles on it and it runs like a charm not to mention I have had nothing, but good service when I get work done and I have only had brakes done at 130000. I had them install Brembo brakes, and I have never had another problem, I highly recommend their product.
