Rattling noise coming from the engine bay (sounds like the heat shield)
Central locking has a paddy every so often whilst driving. Driver seat sometimes won't lock into place on one side. Water leak in back of the car. Rust under rear window ledge. Rattly build inside when driving along.
When I first bought this car I was not sure whether I had made the right choice, but after the first night of driving it, it totally changed my opinion. How fast this car is, for what it is really scared me! It goes round corners superbly, the amount of grip you get from the standard "165" wheels is quite amazing amazingly fun to drive and a nice car to look at. The standard exhaust sounds meaty along with the engine, as soon as it hits 4000RPM and above your flying and the sound that comes from it is quite beautiful. And what wraps it up for me is the very good MPG. I am thinking about getting some new alloys to make it look sweet and was wandering if anyone had any advice on what size and suspension change/adjustment would be needed. I've read that the AX has 3 bolt alloys which makes buying difficult. Any suggestions? Cheers.
The leak you are stating is either coming from the rust under the ledge which requires the hatch to be removed and knock rust out and fill (i had this) and/or the rear hatch seal wich is about £8 for new rubber also had this anyway once this is done car is bone dry.
AEZ have some 3 stud alloys mate if that helps.
