2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0L GAS from North America

Summary:

Great Buy

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This car has been a great performer, don’t have nothing to complain about at this point. Been driving this car for about 4 months, and love every thing about.

Fuel economy is what I expected.

Looks like Dodge has hit the mark with the Caliber.

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0 liter from North America

Summary:

Fantastic car... love it!

Faults:

Nothing, I just bought it yesterday.

General Comments:

I love this car. The style is awesome. I used to drive our Isuzu Ascender, which my husband will drive now. I never thought I would go back to a car from an SUV. However, I don't think I have sacrificed anything by changing my mind on this. It's like a smaller muscle car, in appearance. It actually looks tough, and I don't feel like I'm in a little bubble on wheels, like my mom's Nissan Versa or my friend's Mini. I love the interior and all of the extras and the roomy interior. I'm tall with long legs and have more room behind the wheel than in my old SUV. I can't wait to drive it home today.

We traded in our Land Rover Discovery 2 which was so expensive anytime we had to fix or replace something. Unbelievable. Also, the thing was a gas-guzzler. People loved it, but my wallet didn't. The Caliber is giving me great gas mileage.

I guess acceleration from a complete stop is a tad slow, but I quickly forget about that once I'm going. It's fun to drive, low road noise, and easy to handle.

I just love this car.

I too LOVE my Caliber. Have had it 9 months, 12,000 miles and NO problems. Holds the road well. I drive a curvy road around the back of a lake every day and have a hard time keeping to the speed limit. I traded in a Dodge Town & Country van I thought I'd never give up (great car also!) to get better gas mileage. I average 25 mpg and that is around town, 30 mpg on the road. Sometimes notice the road noise, but not enough to count it a distraction. Seats are VERY comfortable. I highly recommend the Caliber.

Summary:

It is a terrific car

Faults:

Nothing, knock on wood.

General Comments:

This is a very good car, I love to drive it. For a first year car it is very nice to own as well as to ride and look at. It handles very well and the smoothness of the CVTII is awsome. I would buy another one for sure if I ever had, or needed to.

I have the CVT and very pleased with it.

I have had no problems with the vehicle. I would buy another one.

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT from North America

Summary:

I wish Dodge would take it back!

Faults:

Engine ticks like a bomb when I turn the car off.

The windows make loud scratching noises when I put them up or down.

The headlights sometimes come on and sometimes don't when I lock the car.

The fridge broke the first week I got the car.

It gets horrible gas mileage.

General Comments:

This car has bad pick up and you have to keep your foot on the gas because it slows down quick if you don't.

The seats are uncomfortable and it is a really bad car to travel in.

It is really not a good car for people who travel and the gas mileage is a joke.

I smell a Toyota-fan rat in this review. I've driven 3 Calibers. All were great cars, drive well, and reviews tend to indicate GREAT fuel mileage for most. The engine "ticking" after shut down is the exhaust system cooling. ALL cars do that. It's normal. The headlights don't go on when you lock the car with the remote if it is dark and they haven't reset. That is normal too. I've owned 3 Dodges. My last Dodge car went 240,000 miles with a total of 2 brake jobs, 2 timing belts and 1 heater hose. Chrysler builds incredibly good cars. Besides, ALL of the above mentioned complaints are blatantly obvious in a brief test drive. Why did the reviewer buy it???
