2001 Dodge Intrepid SE 2.7 liter V6 from North America

Summary:

90,000 miles and still no problems

Faults:

Aside from having to repair some slight cosmetic damage, nothing has gone wrong.

General Comments:

Overall solid performer.

Good brakes.

Won't win any drag races, but accelerates fast enough for most people.

Not the quietest car on the road, but still well-built.

No squeaks or rattles to speak of.

Good handling.

My experience with Dodges has been good. They've been reliable for me. I've owned other Dodges too, and none of them (at least in the past ten years) have had any problems before 150,000 miles. Whenever there has been a problem, it's always been easy/inexpensive to fix.

2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T 3.5 HO from North America

Summary:

Best bang for the buck today

Faults:

Nothing. This car has been flawless.

General Comments:

Sleek, racy, with poised road manners, the Intrepid R/T is one sweet ride.

It has more than looks, too. The R/T has 244 HP with the autostick transmission, bigger brakes, quicker-ratio steering, stiffer stabilizer and anti-roll bars, and different spring rates. It's road manners are exceptional. It's amazing that such a large car can handle so well. This thing rides like it's on rails.

It also has ABS brakes to go along with the brake update which work so well with the suspension.

With tons of room inside and a huge trunk, you can haul five people in comfort. Quickly.

I really like the layout of the dash instrumentation. It's easy to read and looks good, too.

Then there is that body. Gorgeous, with

17 inch black Nascar style wheels and tires, the blacked out grille and a spoiler on the back, the car always gets attention.

I'm currently at 12,000 miles and the car has been flawless. Just oil changes.

The intrepid rt is the best car out there. It blows everything away and yet the kids have tons of room to fight and argue in!! The looks are great. The dealer even wants to buy it back from me. No way man, this is my baby!!

Alan, Brampton on canada. Where the car was born!!

Best bang for the buck?? Yes, until you hear that big bang from under the hood at about 85,000 miles, which will be your engine blowing up. I bragged and bragged about mine constantly. I never even had it in the shop other than for routine maintenance. Then my son was driving it and the engine blew while he was in the middle lane of the expressway. Luckily one of his teachers was following a ways behind him and recognized my car and helped him get the car off the road. I was angry! I always took great care of the car because I loved it!

It was a beautiful car and I loved it but wasn't worth it. I wish someone would have just ran into it and totaled it. At least I would have gotten some insurance money from it :- (I wish everyone good luck... you're going to need it. We owned 3 Dodge's and I was very loyal to them. Now our Stratus is dying. From now on, I'm dodging the Dodge's.

Summary:

The best bang for the buck in the auto industry today

Faults:

Nothing. Flawless!!!

What a sweet ride. Gorgeous to look at and a blast to drive. The car handles like a sports car. Rides like it's on rails. Great steering and brake response. For it's size, the transient repsonse is amazing. You always feel in control in this car. Tons of room, (I'm 6 foot 3 1/2 inches tall), wtih a huge trunk. This is my fourth LH car and all four have been flawless, trouble-free cars. Very inexpensive to operate. My repair costs have been minimal. I love this car and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
