Nothing major... only problem I'm having now is that 4 days ago I got a flat tire and then the next day my check engine light came on. I took it to a shop and they had me plug that scanner thingy up to my car and it pulled a report that says"Catalyst Efficency below threshold.. no faults detected" What does this mean??? All the guys could tell me at the shop was that there is nothing wrong!!! So why is my check engine light still on??? Other than this.. which has happened twice in one year I have no problems with my car... I have driven from Texas to Florida... from Miami to Jacksonville many times and she is still OK!
Your catalyic converter is going out, very common problem on intrepids.
Thanks...at least someone knew what was wrong! Now my check engine light went off... the same day I was going to take my 98 intrepid in to get checked! I do not understand why??? I get an oil change about every month or two because of the distance that I drive and I maintain the transmission fluid and the filter and all that nice stuff that your car would loves and needs. I've spent a lot of money trying to maintain this car so nothing major happens and now my converter is going bad!!!
I think I will stick to walking!
