I have a 1995 eagle vision v6 problem and can't find out what it is. when I start going it will get stuck in 2nd and 3rd gear and will not shift until I shut it off and start it again. that fixes the problem sometimes other times it doesn't.If you know what the problem is will you let me know. I am tired of spending money on it and not fixing the problem.

My vision has 240,000K on it, with the original engine and transaxle. It's been very reliable and hardly anything has been replaced. Although, at 15 years old it now needs some new struts and tie rods. I'm torn between getting rid of it or fixing the front end.

I have a 1995 Eagle Vision TSi, and whenever I let it run for a while, I get smoke from under the hood; it smells like anti-freeze. What is wrong with it?

I have a 95 Eagle Vision TSI and have been very pleased with it. I now have 260,000 miles on it. My wife just went to pick up some groceries. When she got back into the car it would not start. It was not even making a noise when I turned the key. Now it is making a clicking noise. Not sure if it is the starter or just bad wires. I know I have my monies worth out of this car. I hope my next one is just as good. SAE.

To the person with the smoke that smells like anti freeze, it could be a blown head gasket.

Hi, last year I bought a 95 Eagle Vision TSi, for $500. It now has a little over 200,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. Nothing has ever been replaced on this car. I love it and encourage anyone to buy one!!

I have a 95 Eagle Vision 3.3 engine with 187,000 miles on it. Was driving it and it made a loud pop, and now I don't have all the gears like overdrive, so I put 2 more trans in it and they just shift in reverse and 1st. Is there anything else I have to change, like could it be a module that I have to replace, cause the 1 trans came out of a car that was wrecked. It just doesn't make sense for the last 2 not to work and be doing the same thing.

From Eldon in Selkirk Manitoba.

I bought this car in July 2009. I love this car. When the temperature is very cold like now (-20c) there is aloud crack when I turn the wheels, it is fine after it is warmed up and disappears for the day. What is this?

Hi, my Eagle ran good for sometime, and since has been nothing but crap. It started out acting up very rarely, like when I would switch cruise control on, but now it is acting up most times I drive it. What it does, is all the gauges will shut off, and it won't shift out of second. Please if someone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. The mechanics just say they don't know what is wrong, and keep having me fix things that don't work.

I'm having a very similar problem. 95 Eagle Vision.

My gauges won't work, but I'm stuck in first gear.

I have a premium BCM. I swapped it with a 2 harness BCM, but it came out of a 95 with manual temperature control.

I was having problems with my heat. BUT the problem was still there with the dash and transmission.

I even changed the PCM and ECM.. nothing. I'm gonna check my ignition switch next. And if it's not that, it's a broken wire I would figure. I'll get back to you if I get positive results.

You should check your BCM located on the passenger side. You have to take the dash apart to get to it. But not totally.. Just take out all the screws in the glove compartment and the side.

I have a 97 Eagle Vision TSi. When I start the car, the transmission will not engage. I have to either rev the engine or wait. Sometimes there is a clunk that sounds like the front end is falling off. I have had the transmission rebuilt and the torque converter replaced twice. I have had the solenoid pack replaced twice, and now I have replaced the transmission computer control module. I still have this problem. Any ideas?

I have a 1997 Dodge Eagle Vision TSI 3.5 engine and I'm trying to find the firing order. Anyone know? Is it on the driver's or passenger's side? Please e-mail me @ fenskedianna@yahoo.com.

Mine is doing the same thing. Have had lots of advice on changing parts out; spark plugs, wires and vacuum lines. So far I have not fixed the problem. Have noticed that at idle the car is rough, but just pressing a bit on the gas, it smooths out. Would love to fix the problem. It's been a great car.

Were you able to repair the radio?

If it isn't' starting on cold/damp days, I would start with the coolant temperature sensor. It helps the ECM (engine control module) to know how much fuel/air etc to give it to start up.

I just had the same problem last week. It is the clutch sensor. It should cost under 200 to fix. Good luck!

Hey... I'm having the same problem with my Eagle Vision right now. Have you figured out what the problem could be? Please email me back if you have any info... Thanks.

When you find somebody, let me know, as I've got the same problem with mine.

24th Oct 2016, 03:27

It could be the vehicle speed sensor. My 95 ESI did the same thing. I got it to a mechanic and as soon as he saw it, he just fixed the burnt up wiring on the speed sensor and it never happened again. These cars go into "limp it home" mode if the computer detects any issues so it can't shift out of 2nd gear. It's not always the transmission causing the problem on these things. 290,000+ miles on mine. My daily driver still.

I have a 95 Eagle Vision TSI with 98000 miles. There's some smoke coming from the exhaust and it overheats when I drive it. The guy I got it from said he replaced the head gasket. Would anyone be able to tell what they think could be wrong with it?? Thank you in advance.
