"But for 99.44% of what they are used for, both Toyota and Honda match or surpass the competition."

99.44%? I'm sure that figure is as carefully researched and supported as your other comments...

I think the only problems Honda had with transmission where in short number and linked to a transmission plant in Ohio that was building parts for American Honda (true American cars). This is their only mistake, and it only affected a small number of their production.

First of all Honda is the number one engine builder in quantity, and they build some great engines.

Toyota builds some great parts too and it is all untrue about people saying they fail.

Remember that recall on airbags that some Pontiac owner made seem such a big deal, but in all truth it only affected about 4400 cars. That is not many cars when you think they build over 400k Camrys.

And I'm sure you will gladly back up your statement that I am wrong with actual facts. Do not include any Uncle Earl or "my friends had an import that killed their son" stories since they are clearly fake.

18:26 go to the Acura TL posts... also the Vans. I took a terrible beating on resale on my last new Honda product.

Stop comparing Odysseys and TL's to Fusions! Why do you cover up the comparing of the Fusion to the Accord? OH that's right, because the Accord blows the Fusion into the pasture. And next year it will not get anymore pretty. Also, those Odsseys and TL's were built between 2001-2003 so that is before the Fusion was even on the road. Bringing up irrelevant information will not put Ford on a pedestal. Sorry to crack down on your little celebration, but your facts need checking.

Yeah, well that's nothing compared to Fords. My Ford lost 65% of its value in less than three years, and sold for $3,000 LESS than Kelly Blue Book.

Wow some people need to learn that just because you favor a certain car does not make it better. I will only say this once. All motorized vehicles are garbage except for motorcycles. Cars Trucks will always be disposable. They use cheaper materials everyday and charge more for them everyday. So just keep in mind that buying a new car or truck is just not worth it anyway. Buy used run it in to the ground where it belongs then go get another used one. No matter how many repairs you do to a used car or truck it will always cost you less than a new one. To be honest everything about a used car is just plain common sense. You can buy a used car for 3,000 drive it for a year sell it for 3,000 sometimes more. Why buy a 30,000 dollar car, drive it off the lot, drive it for a year, and then sell it for 12,000? Are you kidding me?

Why not compare Hondas? If the top of the line models fail or fall short its not reassuring. I didn't realize that Honda quit making these models after 2003...oops they still exist.
