1998 Ford Ranger XLT review from North America
"Good all around"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starter went out once, got it replaced, and a week later it went out again, but it's fixed now.
The suspension was trashed and the frame was bent, but that's not Ford's fault. I'm a teenager and I off-roaded to the extreme.
The CD player wouldn't play half of my CD's.
The clutch squeaks, but it is a minor problem.
General comments?
It's pretty reliable if you don't let a teenager like myself get a hold of it.
I've railed the engine so many times and still haven't had any trouble with it at all (the engine that is).
Nice looking for the price, and the 3.0 V-6 is pretty quick off the line.
