"A good middle of the road pick-up"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 50.000 miles the alternator had to be replaced.
At 70,000 miles my transmission started to slip and it had to be rebuilt.
At 75,000 miles the rear differential and drive shaft had to be replaced. In regards to the drive shaft I had been told that a clunk noise was normal in the Ranger for the past 40,000 miles so I took it to a new dealership who fixed the problem.
General comments?
For what engine this truck contains it has a fair amount of power. After adding an exhaust system, intake and performance chip I received significant gains in power.
Even though the engine is still in perfect working order I have started to have a lot of trouble with the drive train (Trans, drive shaft and rear end.
