The water pump failed almost immediately.
Then the head gasket.
Then most of the water pipes, one after another.
Regular tuning and electrical problems.
Needs regular bush replacements.
I think the above problems come with any RS Cosworth that has covered the miles mine had when I bought it, however comprehensive service history is a definite must so as to avoid so many problems all in one go.
I was glad I opted for the 4x4 as it handles extremely well and is especially rewarding in the wet when other cars would so easily fail to retain any grip.
Unfortunately the build is poor, but then that is typical of Ford, so it shakes and rattles, however it most defiantily rolls!
Excuse, but a very good friend of mine had a four wheel drive and was told by cops that the best car to have was a front drive in the wet. This is not to put your car down she's probaly a good car just telling you what the coppers said after his acident in the early mornin when he had an accident.
Bull, FWD offers crap traction in wet weather, your mate probably had his accident because he was plaining driving too fast and couldn't deal with oversteer when he got it from his 4wd/Rwd car.
FWD is better in the wet if you're an inexperienced driver, because all it will do is understeer, anything with rear bias will oversteer.
Don't take any notice of what the Police tell you! They have the highest rate of accidents of any professional drivers.
