1992 Geo Metro review from North America
"Cheap on everything, but MAN is it tough!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When it rained, the engine would only work on 2 cylinder, if not 1.
Radio cassette too fast, music distorted.
Wheel Bearing fails often.
Very cheaply made.
Engine blew, amateur owner (not me) kept pedal to the metal when cold start to make it warm up faster (not me, I swear).
Low trunk space.
Low space, period.
General comments?
READ THE FOLLOWING, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT, BUT I SWEAR, IT'S TRUE!!!
Though everyone I know (including me) hates this car, and it is extremely cheaply done, it has a good point to it, because it's so cheaply assembled, a loader rolled over the front right corner... it was back on the road the very next day!!! The shaft just poped out as well as the front right wheel support, and the bumper just poped out (did they use screws at all to make this car?) even the light still works, A LOADER PASSED ON IT!!!
It's very cheap on gas, i'll give it that, and we hit the STUNNING high speed OF... 150kph, downhill. Good gas mileage, pathetic speed.
But at least it got us where we wanted to go... most of the time.
