1992 Geo Metro LSi Convertible from North America - Comments

"Too bad they don't still make these - I wouldn't have bought such an old one!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Wiper control was broken off.

Seats are very uncomfortable.

Seller was very dishonest and even lied about the mileage (rollover).

Used all of the oil in the engine in less than 300 miles!!

Most panels rusted.

Rear window is really unclear.

General comments?

Cute car.

Handles great.

Can't say too much more - only drove it 300 miles home.

The Metro was actually continued through 2001 but the convertible was only built through 1993.

You should do a thorough inspection of the underside of your car, esp. the running gear, before you start driving it on a regular basis. If a lot of the body panels are rusted, chances are there is as much, or more rust on the underside. On important stuff like suspension components and brake lines. This is not a car that you want to be in an accident with, believe me.
