One of the pistons was cracked when I bought it.
Trunk has a leak.
Rubber window track keeps coming out.
Starting to rust along the strip beneath the door, which was caused by salt on the road in the winter.
For unknown reasons the engine has died on me twice, but on both occasions it was my fault, and not the engines.
And many small things have also gone wrong.
I have owned it for more than a year now, and not a day goes by when it doesn't take a beating, and yet it still runs almost as well as the day I got it. This car is not really my cup of tea, my parents bought it for me as a student car, and although it is excellent at saving gas and getting from point A to B, it leaves you wanting more. I personally think that 70HP in not enough, especially when you have it to capacity with four people in the car and cargo, it just doesn't have the pull. It is a great economy car that can take a beating, but it leaves something to be desired, especially in power. So I recommend it to any one seeking to save some gas, but it you want something more than a vehicle to go from point A to B, there are better cars out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg.
AWESOME.
I recently replaced the metro with a Nissan 240sx. Alhough I love my new car, I must say I miss the metro and all its gas savings, especially when gas is 90 cents a liter.
