1993 Geo Tracker 2 dr. non 4WD review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The hinges on the doors both rusted out and began to fail in May 1997. This was
repaired by the manufacturer at no cost to me in June 1997 - but it took 3 weeks for the dealer to admit there was a factory recall on this defect, along with a videotaped copy of a CBS evening news article to this effect before the repairs were undertaken.
NO further repairs to this car, save for brake pad replacement on the front disc brakes (the rear drum pads are still original, after 96+K miles!)
General comments?
As far as reliability is concerned, I have never owned a car with this high level of reliability. It's right up there with the best of the Japanese cars, and a lot less expensive to boot!
