2007 Honda Accord VP 2.4L 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Amazing for the price

Faults:

Wheel cover cracked. So far, nothing else has gone wrong.

General Comments:

So far, no problems. I bought this Value Package edition for a great price in 2007 (it had A/C, PW/PL, and CD player with 2 front speakers). I saved $2000 over the SE edition and found that the VP: had no rear speakers, had less sound insulation, had narrower tires, and had no rear sway bar. update 6/2010 - there has been much more body roll than when new. Looking to add rear stabilizer.

I added rear speakers and now the sound is great. Even without the wider tires and sway bar, it handles well, but I do not drive like a maniac. The road noise sometimes can be a little too much.

Gas economy is great. 33 mpg highway and 22-23 city. My next car will be another Honda.

If you don't mind a little work, you can cheaply add the sound insulation yourself. It just involves removing the seats and all the floor covering, but that really is not as hard as it might seem. I've done it on a car I owned and it was worth the trouble.

As for the tires and sway bar, leave them as is. Your tires ride better, and as you said, the handling is plenty good enough. Enjoy your car.

2007 Honda Accord EX 2.4 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

It's a Honda

Faults:

Not a thing.

General Comments:

Totally reliable.

Nothing but oil changes in 53000 miles. Cost of ownership could not be any lower. Welcome change from my previous car: a 2000 VW Passat 1.8T.

Comfortable long distance cruiser. 80mph = 2400 rpm. Light but accurate steering. Supple ride. Supportive seats. Excellent AC.

Excellent ergonomics. Very easy to use controls.

Engine is very spirited in upper rpm range. Makes for safe overtaking at interstate speeds.

"Stealth" Accord image permits taking liberties with the open road speed limit.

Niggles: Electronic stability control and outside temp. readout not available except on top 2007 Accord model. Uninspired styling.

Accord styling makes them not show up on radar so you can speed?

Can't wait to get me one!

2007 Honda Accord LX 4 from North America

Summary:

Beautiful lines and superior workmanship

Faults:

The known problem with the '07 Honda Accord is the brakes. My front brakes and rotors had to be replaced and the rotors were cut. Otherwise I have had no problems with this vehicle at this time. Everything has been routine maintenance.

General Comments:

The 2007 Honda Accord is a seriously excellent car. I put it up there with the 1984, 1987 & 1990 Honda Accord's. Once again a truly solid car. The fit and finish of the car is excellent.

My family has had the 1994 model and now the 2008, and they do not compare with the '07 car. This vehicle is truly a car to be proud to own, and proud to be built in the USA.

I also have a 2010 Honda Pilot and am so pleased with my purchases. From this Honda family to any one thinking of buying a competitor, Honda is not having any difficulties and I am so proud. My cars are driven non stop and they never fail.

This day and age, it is a great feeling to know that your dollar is being spent and going such a long way.

2007 Honda Accord LX 2.4 petrol from United Arab Emirates

Summary:

Super reliable

Faults:

Absolutely nothing, and it doesn't look like anything will.

General Comments:

I bought the car because I was impressed by the quiet ride when I was given a lift in a similar one by a friend. I liked that I could listen to the music in comfort. Before that I had listed about 10 different cars as possibles, but that ride convinced me that the Accord would be the one. Having bought the car, I think I made the right choice. The ride is very comfortable, and the in car entertainment is quite good.

Before this I had owned a 1977 Mercedes, 1980 Chevy, 1985 Volkswagen Passat and a 2003 Proton. The Accord outscores every one of my previous cars in every department.

I usually drive to work with the mp3 plugged in and I thoroughly enjoy my drive. The car lets me concentrate on the music, or audiobook, whichever I may be listening to, and I don't have to concentrate on the car.

However if I have to outline any feature of the car that has caught my attention, it has to be the reliability. Not only has nothing gone wrong with the car, it gives me the feeling that nothing ever will. After two years and 30000km everything works as new. The only thing I had to change was the battery and the windshield wipers. The wipers got worn out because here in Dubai I use them on dry glass to wipe away the dust so they wear out. To be honest I am waiting to see what the first thing that breaks down is going to be. I know the engine will last. I rented a Honda van a year ago and the engine had 500000 miles on it, but it purred like it had just came out of the factory.

If my next car is not a Honda it will be because the wife doesn't like it. Why I don't know, but she never misses an opportunity to tell remind me about it.
