I just bought a 1991 Honda Accord Ex yesterday, and I must say that at 175,000 miles, it still drives like a new car. I must agree with the person who wrote the statement about having to manually lock the doors, antenna broken, speedometer sensor out, and sometimes my check engine light comes on too. But knowing that It's a Honda, I feel comfortable about my decision of buying this car.
Your driver side door lock isn't broken. it is some kind of safety feature added to the locks. while the door is opened you have to pull the handle out (inside or out, don't matter) and then press the door lock down. I hope this can help you out. good luck with your accord.
