2006 Honda Civic LX review from North America
"A blast to drive at a economy cost"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
To date I have driven the Honda Civic 11,000 miles.
I've owned the car one year and have no mechanical issues.
General comments?
The car is is equivalent to a fighter jet. The redesigned Civic is a wonderful sight to see. Inside the car has a futuristic feel with a two tier dashboard with the odometer mounted high, you never have to take your eyes off the road.
The dashboard is the size of a flight deck and provides ample room between yourself and the windshield; anyone who has gone through a windshield or has come close will appreciate this feature. The windshield is enormous and provides a amazing view of the road. Lastly, the redesigned windshield wipers work better than any other car, even luxury cars on the road today.
The car has a manual transmission, which is fun to drive and makes acceleration a breeze. The car is excellent on gas and a good road car for long trips. The sound system is superb for a car in the class, you will be blown away.
My only criticism is the paint. I have several small stone chips in the front of the hood. I think Honda should make a more durable paint and clear coat
