Nothing has gone wrong with this car as of yet.
Honda really changed up the style of the Civic coupe for 2006. This car has incredibly good looks. The car handles great and runs quiet as well. The auto tranny, however, appears to have to "hunt" for gears when traveling in stop & go city traffic. Not a big deal I guess, but it makes the city driving less smooth. The only other complaint I have about this car is the extremely cramped space under the hood (not user friendly for do-it-yourself maintanence.
I fully agree with you, my Honda Civic has been very smooth, but the stop and go could be much smoother. My only big complaint is when I bought the car, there was a rather long stain going up the back seat, but that's a dealer issue. I have put about 2000 miles and it's had no problems, as it shouldn't!
Is it possible to choose a gear on the automatic transmission that locks out the higher gears. I was able to do that with a Volvo I once owned. That would probably resolve the transmission hunting for gears.
