2004 Hyundai Elantra VE 2.0 from North America

Summary:

A superb economy car that doesn't act or feel like economy transportation

Faults:

Nothing, its too new!

General Comments:

Major improvement in noise reduction and comfort compared to the 2000 Elantra previously owned.

Although one often reads in car reviews that "only 4 items had to be adjusted on my first visit to the dealer", this Hyundai (and the 2000 as well) required absolutely no "tightening up this, or adjusting that"

2004 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback from North America

Summary:

Great bargain with a great warranty

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

The Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback is a great bargain for under $15,000.

The GT Hatchback comes fully loaded with leather seats, air conditioning, moon roof, disk brakes on all 4 tires, and compact disk stereo with removable face.

I recommend the hatchback model over the sedan because it has a euro-sporty look. I think that it resembles a Saab, but one third less the cost of what a Saab cost. I like to call it the poor man's Saab.

The pick up is great and it handles very well on curves. I could not be more pleased with this vehicle.

Yeah it looks like a Saab, although having owned a Saab before this car, the term "poor mans Saab" is very much incorrect. The Hyundai is far more reliable and more fun to drive than my old 1995 9000CS. It might not be as fast as the Saab, but in the places it matters (handling, reliablilty and value) I actually think it is the better car.

That's one reason I really like the GT hatchback. For its euro-Saab-like styling. It doesn't looking like a cheap Korean car when it has styling like that in addition to leather and sunroof. It seems like a good value. The comment from the Saab owner is refreshing to hear. It helps put any problems you might have with your Elantra into perspective.

2004 Hyundai Elantra GT 2.0 4 cylinder. from North America

Summary:

An exceptional bargain.

Faults:

Rattle from power sunroof.

General Comments:

Wonderful car. Quick, sporty, nice leather interior. This car has features I never expected in this price range. I paid more for my Saturn four years ago, and it doesn't have half the interior amenities that the Elantra has. The 5 yr, 60k bumper to bumper and 10 yr 100K power train warranties can't be beat.

2004 Hyundai Elantra GT from North America

Summary:

Fantastic car at a fantastic price

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with the car. The excellent warranty makes me not worry if something does go wrong.

General Comments:

This car handles very well.

The factory Kenwood stereo has incredible sound. I have never had an in-car MP3 player.

The ride is very smooth.

I am extremely happy with this purchase, but sad that my wife gets the car!
