1993 Infiniti J30 from North America

Summary:

Yay!

Faults:

The only problem I have, would be the dashboard lights go on sometimes, and sometimes they don't =[

It would be nice to have better fuel economy.

General Comments:

Bought the car off an older man; it looks brand new inside and out.

The car only has 55,000 miles! Even the engine looks good. It has a new battery and wheels.

It's a burgundy color with tan interior. The seats are in great shape.

I really like it. The only thing I would change is the wheels; nothing flashy though.

1993 Infiniti J30 from North America

Summary:

I love it, and would buy another one without thinking twice

Faults:

The driver's side window went off track.

The heat stops working, then suddenly does again.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my fix was that I had turned the ignition on too far. If you push it back just a little into Aux, the heat will work again; don't know if this is due to the alarm or whatever, but it works!

General Comments:

It rides very smoothly, and is very easy to handle, even in snow and ice.

1993 Infiniti J30 from North America

Summary:

Fantastic, fabulous... love my J30

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I bought mine off a wholesale car dealer for next to nothing... it had been a one-owner and (as I learned later) quite babied!! Anyways, it's turned out to be the best car I ever owned. Not great on gas mileage, but 4 or 5 mpg (or kilometer per litre) one way or the other don't mean that much to me. The car remains stable, reliable, everything works as it should. Very pleased with it and highly recommend to anyone wanting a luxury car at a bargain price.

Summary:

Smooth

Faults:

I am so glad that I found this website. I too was having a problem with my passenger door not opening from the inside or out. So I grabbed a can of WD40, sprayed the key hole (turned the key from right to left), sprayed the handles as well as the door, and now it works again. No paying expensive maintenance fees for me. Thanks guys.

Oh, and here are some things that might help others.

Spray wd40 on your sunroof to get it to work again, as well as on your trunk key.

You may have a power steering leak if you hear your belts screaming. While the car is on, check the power steering fluid level, because it gives a more accurate reading. Don't spray the belts with belt spray, because it will make it 10 times worse.

Consider changing out your battery cables to stop your car from turning off on you, while either driving or when you first start it. I thought I had a serious problem when all it was is worn out cables.

General Comments:

The car is easy on the eyes.

But the car screams like a dying cat when I turn the key in the ignition sometimes.

A can of WD-40 is something every beater driver should always have in their trunk.

Along with a roll of duct tape. And a hammer.

Thanks for the tip with the passenger door. I too had the problem of the door not opening, and then all of the sudden opening while I was driving at a fast rate of speed. But now it is all better.

I have an Infiniti J30t with 188K miles, and besides the regular basic maintenance, my oil is still clear, my A/C is so cold you could hang meat in my car. And my mechanic told me after my most recent oil change, that I will need a steering rack, which I am hearing can be very expensive, so I am searching the Internet for some parts warehouses to purchase from.

Other than that, I have had no problem with the car. I even flush the radiator fluid before the winter and before the summer to prevent rusting...

I am going to try to hold on to my baby for as long as she last, so I will continue to treat her with the best care... and yes... my car is for sure female... LOL.
