1993 Jeep Cherokee review from Norway
"This car is loveable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've quite recently bought the car, and the main problem so far is the rust in the floor pans, but during this summer I'm going to deal with that.
I have the classical piston slap, but from what I hear, that's trivial and nothing to worry about.
Besides that, the car has a noise in the rear axle and the consumption of fuel is a bit too high (taken into consideration that an American gallon of gas in Norway costs close to $10).
General comments?
This old Cherokee has a timeless appealing design.
To start with, it felt like a truck to drive, but I soon got used to that, and now it feels OK.
Parts are extremely expensive in Norway. Therefore I import them directly from US and pay less than 1/4 of Norwegian prices.
I'll do my best to keep this car forever.
