1995 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"Horrible car, absolute nightmare to own"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the head and gasket.
I had to replace the valve cover gaskets.
I had to replace the thermostat, radiator, upper radiator hose, temp sensor, and cooling fan.
I had to rip the carpet out, due to a leak in the dashboard. Everytime it would rain, the carpet would get wet, thus mold grew.
Replaced the muffler.
Replaced the Air Filter.
My mirror got vandalized and cracked, and I had to pay 50 dollars to buy a new mirror, and cracked the new one installing it.
The catalytic converter is going bad.
The alignment cannot be fixed, because the parts are too rusty.
Had to replace the passenger side ball joint.
The passenger side cv shaft is on its way to death.
The brakes lock up for no reason at any speed. On dry pavement going 75 they locked up on me once.
General comments?
This car is a total nightmare to own and to drive. Do not buy this for your first car, or you will for sure get in an accident. This car has the worst cooling system ever invented. And has brought me to the decision that I will never buy another pontiac as long as I live.
