Summary:

Good quality for what it is

Faults:

A/C died, would cost over $800 to fix.

Oil pan got a leak, oil leaked into the exhaust which blew oil fumes into the car when on.

3 flat tires within first year of ownership (were all Cooper tires, after the flats I switched to Bridgestone and have had no problems since)

Battery and alternator died within first 2 years of ownership.

Other odd issues:

Clock light died (circuit problem)

Lock on truck came loose, had to reglue.

Needs tune-up often or engine starts to falter and it doesn't start well in the rain.

General Comments:

Orange dash light is cool.

Overall reliable.

To put 70K+ on in less than 3 year, and have little major problems is very good.

Would recommend for a young family, single business person or college student, too small for a large family.

Summary:

Great for the price

Faults:

Engine light kept coming on.

Clicking noise when turning sharp corners.

General Comments:

I really enjoy my sun fire a lot. I've had a few different mechanics (including my father) try it out, and all of them has said that they've never tried a sun fire that had quite as much power as mine does.

It's easy to drive, and makes the passengers ride a very comfortable one.

The CD player that came with the car works very well! It hardly ever skips, and sounds great.

Summary:

Dependable with plenty of get up and go!

Faults:

Replaced power window motor in 2002. Thought it was unusual to have it go out, but later realized daughters softball bag had been laying on switches while driving with the windows down, thus burning up the motor.

Water pump went out at 80,000 miles. Part was fairly cheap, but labor costs were high.

A/C currently not working. Hoping it just needs to have coolant added.

General Comments:

Bought this car used, as the price was great. Has been a pretty dependable car, other than having the water pump go out. Great to have the top down on cool evenings. However, when the top is up, the rear view is pretty limited.

Summary:

A good around town car, good gas mileage

Faults:

Took the car in for 3 major recalls, which were all fixed by the dealer.

ABS sensor on front axle cracked and fell off. Had to put a new axle on it.

Glove box light stayed on for 3 months until fixed.

Battery died, had to buy new.

Brake rotors need replaced often.

A/C stopped working, high pressure switch on the high line was bad, replaced it and A/C works great.

General Comments:

The car needs some more horsepower.

The interior is nice.

Orange and red instrument panel is cool.

Seats are fairly comfy, except on long trips.

I notice a weird clunking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle, someone told me it was the struts??? Who knows?

I think the car is very sporty looking.

The paint shines as good as the day I bought it. I'm pretty happy with the car.
