1994 Saturn SL SL1 review from North America
"The ultimate commuter car."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It broke a rocker arm at 110000.
The back seat was small.
General comments?
The new rocker arm cost less than $200 including labor.
Good getty-up from the 90hp engine.
Good transmission.
Unbeatable dealer service. They did it right, fast, and only fixed what you wanted them to.
The great Firestone tires lasted 108000 miles.
The seats were comfortable and supportive.
The trunk some space in it.
It got over 40 MPG.
The engine was still strong at 183000.
The engine was still running after I totaled it from the front, even though the trailer hitch from the F-150 I hit came in contact with the engine block.
The plastic bodywork couldn't dent.
It had great handling.
This car was a great step up from my Escort.
