1994 Toyota Camry Vienta CSi 3.0 V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Reliable, quick and safe, but a dull family car

Faults:

Air Conditioning compressor needs replacement.

Wears through tyres quite badly.

General Comments:

Performance wise, the car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. When pushed this car really flies, and cruises nicely on the highway.

However the sheep's clothing is disappointing, as in my opinion it's one of the most dull cars on the road.

Interior is nothing special. Air conditioning works well even with noisy compressor. Leather trim on steering wheel helps comfort although seats are quite hard and aren't supportive. Boot space is impressive.

1994 Toyota Camry LX 2.4L from North America

Summary:

As close to inexpensive luxury as you can get

Faults:

The "D" transmission indicator light on the dash when out. But this is not a loss. There is another one on the floor gear shift.

General Comments:

This is the best car I have ever had. I bought it from a new car dealer in Atlanta. It was a demo that was driven by the dealership's Finance Manager.

We keep it garaged and drive it occasionally. I would go on a cross country trip and feel secure about it.

If I ever get another car, it will be a Camry.

1994 Toyota Camry LE 2.2L 4 cylinder. from North America

Summary:

It just won't die!

Faults:

The brakes have been redonecompletely (normal wear).

I have done the timing belt and water pump service (again a normality).

I have had to do the CV boots (Normal again).

The usual plugs, wires, etc.

General Comments:

I got this car at 102k knowing it had at least that much to go. I had all the usual stuff go on it, that's it. The paint job is still very nice, and with the exception of a very small tear in the armrest vinyl, the interior is flawless. I am considering getting rid of it for a sporty car (another Toyota of course), but can't do so because I just can't justify getting rid of this car. I guess maybe I'll just do some mods and keep this car until it finally rusts off the frame... if it ever starts rusting!

I have a 1994 Camry (left by my father).

It had 64,000 miles on it when I got it 2 years ago.

Other that normal maintenance, it's still in excellent shape (in and out).

I won't get rid of mine in a hurry either!

Continued good luck!

Mine has 230k miles, I have replaced the starter, and other than brake pads and regular oil changes every 3k miles it runs smooth and quiet. I plan on running the car until it dies, which hopefully won't be anytime soon.

1994 Toyota Camry Coupe from North America

Summary:

Best used car I ever bought.. Toyota all the way!!

Faults:

Only problems have been tires, breaks and shocks

General Comments:

I have enjoyed my Toyota for 5 years. I bought this vehicle used and was concerned as it did have 95,000 km on it at purchase however I have had 2 previous Toyota's. I have just recently pasted 300,000 km with no major problems with this vehicle. When the time comes I will buy another Toyota. My family only buys Toyota now as well. We have only had good luck with theses vehicles.

1994 Toyota Camry LE 2.0 from North America

Summary:

Cheap to keep and will get me there and back

Faults:

Front CV joints replaced at 110,000

Shocks replaced at 170,000

Front main oil seal leak (common)

General Comments:

This is the wife's second Camry. Bought from the original owner (owner actually won a $27 million lotto). Nothing major has gone wrong with the overall aspects of the car. Nice comfortable leather interior has no rips or tears, air conditioner (original) will freeze you, paint job is flawless, extremely pleased with reliability. Our last Camry had 252,00 miles and was stolen!
