Original reviewer, the car is great, got 32,000 miles and was hit on the side by a Honda Accord. My Yaris was totaled. This small hatchback saved my life and did great in the accident. I really miss this car.

2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback 1.5 liter from North America

Summary:

Great value for the price

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This car makes driving fun again. Handles extremely well, with precise steering and smooth working brakes.

Very quiet ride. Wind noise is almost absent at 70 MPH. The engine noise very low for a sub compact car.

Seats are very comfortable. Long drives are no problem.

Fit and finish of the car typical of Toyota quality.

Performance is outstanding for a car with a 90 cubic inch engine. The engine gives strong usable torque from 1,500 RPM to 6,000 RPM. Very impressive.

I was interested in the Yaris, but when I saw the prices Toyota is asking for them I opted to look at something more reasonable. $15,000 for a car that is comparable to the Hyundai Accent or Chevy Aveo is ludicrous.

Hi.

I always suspected from Yaris north-american reviews and today I found out why. I visited the Toyota site for the United States and I saw that the Yaris sold there is a "little" different from the one sold in Europe. Our european version is much more modest. Yaris reviews readers should be aware of that.

Cheers.
