1993 Vauxhall Cavalier CDI from UK and Ireland - Comments

"A high performance class bargain!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Brake disc pads cracked.

Engine thermometer.

Water disappearing from the header tank! I'm yet to find out where it is going because it doesn't leak!

General comments?

I have to say the car really handles smoothly and can cane the hell out of a lot of cars. It gets a little shaky on the motorway after 95mph.

I find the car pleasant to drive but one thing that does bug me, although being tall doesn't help, is that my legs are too close to the steering wheel which means I can't always manoeuvre my hands round the wheel properly which can be a problem when racing!

Have a K Reg Vauxhall Cavaliar CDi and it's the best car we have owned by far. No major problems with it despite it doing more than it's fair share of miles. Still runs really smoothly and can kick butt of many car on the road today. Acceleration even in low gear is fantastic. Very, very nice smooth comfortable car to drive. Very spacious inside for a family and boot size is good to. Quite good on fuel depending on how you drive it of course.
