1998 Vauxhall Vectra LS from UK and Ireland - Comments

Both Camshaft & Crankshaft Sensors need to be replaced twice.

Petrol Leak.

Exhaust Manifold Gas kit and many more things.

My first car was a Vauxhall Cavalier and I've owned another three since, I loved them, they were full of character. Then I made a BIG mistake and bought a Vectra, the car has been nothing but trouble, Its unreliable, uncomfortable and very, very thirsty.

I would have taken on Jeremy Clarkson any time to defend Vauxhall, but after owning a Vectra I'm on his side. The car is a Shed and not even worth talking about.

Yeah, Vectras are crap, out of all the cars on yhis car survey site, the vectra seems to be the worst by far, much too many blue faces! vectra fans, please don't defend it as youre in the minority.

Totally disagree with this comment! I Have a Vectra and i'am very satisfied with the car, probably it's one of the best cars Vauxhall ever made.

Very unreliable, expensive to repair main dealers pathetic not nice to drive electronics rubbish would never buy another one. dangerous in wet keep rear tyres in top condition cos you will need it, wish i"d listened to Jeremy Clarkson lost a lot of money time and confidence with that car.
