My left door won't completely shut all the way, but that is nothing a tightening won't fix. My CD player doesn't work, Since this is a used car I understand that things won't work properly but the previous owner also stated that the CD player has never worked.
I have noticed that after washing my car the paint started to bubble on the divers side and flaked off after a car wash. Nothing more has come off though.
This car is an automatic, when I go and reverse completely stop and switch into drive it almost lags for a second or two, sometimes when I release off the brake it still reverses even though in drive and not on a hill. Then it jerks a tiny bit and goes forward. Do any of you have this problem as well??
Brakes work wonderful, I had to get used to them at first because they are very touchy but its nice to have touchy brakes when approaching an unexpected sudden stop.
Turning radius is AMAZING you wouldn't believe what corners your can get around without much effort in this tiny car.
The beetle has a spacious interior. More so than what people expect. It can seat the driver and passenger easy with maximum comfort of the bucket seats, but the back however is not as nice. I am 5 foot 8" and it is really uncomfortable to be back there for a long period of time, my head bumps against the round corner of the roof.
Great gas mileage, definitly worth buying if worried about the gas prices. I filled my tank up 2 weeks ago and it is at a half tank and I have traveled up to 180 miles.
I'm wondering if you still like the beetle after having it longer than 1000 miles. My wife's beetle is a maintenance nightmare.
