I purchased a new 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS in Sept 2001. I noticed a vibration between 50 and 75 mph on the way home from the dealer. After many attempts to fix the problem (wheel balance, tire replacement etc) the vibration still remains. The car has also had the steering pump and rack replaced, two crankshaft sensor assemblies replaced, poor gas mileage and a number of other problems. All in all a very disappointing experience.

Could be that the 2 engine stabilizer bar bushings are worn out. I had the same problem between 65 and 75mph and when I got this replaced it fixed the problem. Hope this helps.

I purchased a new Cadillac Seville STS in November 2001 and I also have the vibration at highway speeds. You wouldn't expect a car with a price tag of over $50,000 to vibrate while cruising down the highway. Been in for service 3 times for this problem and still has not been corrected. So far there does not seem to be a solution for the problem. I was told it was built into the car and nothing can be done about it. Very disappointing for what is suppose to be one of the finest American automobiles.

I purchased a 2002 DeVille in Jan 2002 and have been trying to get a vibration problem resolved ever since. It vibrates between 65 and 75 MPH. So far they have replaced 2 tires and balanced the wheels numerous times. They claim the vibration is within GM acceptable levels.

Just removing and replacing the tires/wheels makes the level of vibration change. 2 more new tires on the way, but I doubt that will do anything, but I can hope.

I see there is a Technical Service Bulletin 0003100007A, but I do not have a copy yet to see what is says.

I am having same vibration problem with 2002

DeVille. Car has 16000 miles, vibration starts at 35-40, becomes more pronounced at 65-70 to the extent that the steering wheel vibrates. To date wheels have been balanced, now changing tire to Michelin X one Should be completed on 9-24. I have been told the same sad story by my dealer"there is no known fix" I suspect that Lexus may be behind this problem. Cannot believe that GM will ignore this.

I bought a new 2002 De ville on June 6,2002. It has vibrated at speeds of 63- 65 mph since day one. The dealer has rotated and balanced tires repeatedly. A new set of Michelin's didn't help. I went to two outside tire shops and they insist there is nothing wrong with tires and wheels.

I purchased a new 2002 Cadillac Seville STS in May, 2002. It has vibrated since it was new. All Goodyear tires were replaced with Michelin tires, those were rebalanced repeatedly, two of the Michelin tires were replaced and it is still the same. It vibrates most noticeably between 65-70 mph. Two dealerships and Cadillac Corporate have now brushed me off saying there is nothing more they can do. Regional Manager would not talk to me. One service manager has the integrity to acknowledge the vibration--the other one did not! Sad commentary on a $50,000 car, probably my last GM automobile. Anyone have success with Lemon Law appeal?

I Purchased a 2000 standard no frills Deville as used in 2001. I did not, and still do not, notice a vibration at any speed up to 100mph. It rides great. However, I did have the engine changed (under warranty thank God) due to suspicious engine clatter during a cold start. My dealer jumped on it immediatly and got the problem fixed. I'll ask them about your vibration problem and get back to you if they tell me anything useful.

I do get a slight vibration when I apply the brakes at around 65 or 70mph, as though the disc brakes are grabbing. On inspection the dealer sees nothing wrong. Brake shoes look good. The problem is very minor, but I do notice that very slight vibration - but it does not happen on every brake application.

Same vibration problem with my 2002 De ville. To date tires have been replaced, balanced and lined up three times, front lower control arms replaced. Car has 20,000 miles, problem started around 15,000 miles. Dealer does not know what to do, says all 2000-2002 have same problem. Good advertisement for Lexus.

I just bought a 2000 DTS in amazing condition with 45,000 miles. I have a slightly rough idle,... which seems to be common. Although I use the recommended 87 octane,... the rough idle was much less noticeable with 93. I have also noticed the vibration in the 60-70 MPH range. While I don't think it should be there in a car of this caliber, it is not a huge nuisance to me as it is very minor. I did have to have the power steering pump replaced almost immediately. Many others seem to have this problem as well.

I purchased a 2000 De ville in 2000 with 10,400 miles, I have had the vibration at the speed between 60 - 70. I carried it back to the dealer several times. They finally, suggested new tires. I purchased a new set of tires I still have the vibration. I also, purchased rotaries, had tires rotated as scheduled, wheel balanced repeatedly. Today I still have that problem. The serpentine belt shifted, which had to be replaced. The Technician explained to me what caused it. It had something to do with the engine shift. I have had to have three windows elevation devices replaced. The fuel and trip indicators keeps tripping to LO and zero. I am disappointed in that I am not receiving the performance/service and smoothness of what the Cadillac should be. I previously owned a Cadillac De ville that had none of these problems, It was a 1987, until I purchased this one. What are the recourses?

My 2003 Cadillac De ville has a vibration which is easily felt on any relatively smooth road. Replacing two tires, balancing, road force balancing twice, and lower control arm bushings have not changed anything. Dealer recognizes the problem, but has told Cadillac that this is normal. Cadillac refuses to do anything more. I am seeking lemon-law protection.

I just purchased a 2001 Sevelle with 35k miles and it also has vibration at 65-75mph. The dealership replaced the 2 front tires with new Goodyears and still shakes. They tried 5 different tires with no improvement. They resurfaced the rotors and still the same problem. They replaced the lower control arms and still the same problem. Now they say this is as good as they can get it and to just drive the car a while and I will get used to it. I don't want to get used to it and will get rid of it in favor of a different brand. Maybe we need to all get together to file a class action law suit against Cadillac on this issue. Any lawyers out there??

I purchased a new 2001 DTS in November of 2001. Initially I thought there was a tire balancing problem. 20 tires later (all provided by Cadillac at no cost to me) including Goodyear and Michelin along with two control arm replacements the Cadillac Rep. told me there was nothing more that could be done. I have a $50,000.00 car that vibrates so severely a 65-75 MPH that the unoccupied passenger seat back bounces wildly in high frequency 3/8" cycles and the steering wheel does the same thing in 1/4" cycles. Another problem I have had is the "service stability system" warning light comes on every 300-400 miles. The service dept. at the dealer has "fixed" the problem now five times! My wife and I have driven Cadillacs for 14 years. When the time comes to trade our current models, we will not consider a GM product, even though that is all we have ever owned.
