2000 Ford Fiesta Finesse from UK and Ireland - Comments

"A great nippy little car!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Only little silly problems!!

There is an annoying little rattle coming from the dash.

Other than that, no real problems.

General comments?

This is my first car and its great. It drives smoothly and the handling is very responsive.

Acceleration is decent in the lower gears, although it gives up somewhat as soon as you slip into 4th or 5th.

For the slightly taller driver, this car has to be one of the best in its class. The seats are comfortable and sporty and pedals are a reasonable distance apart. The new face-lift has also done it a great deal of good, looking more modern and sporty. The interior of the car is very spacious and roomy with exceptional drivers vision and a sunroof. Head room in the back is rather limited, with anyone over 5'10 having to lean forward to avoid putting their head through the rear window!

Boot space is very spacious. I suspect very good for getting the shopping in!

I have not really had any problems with this car at all and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small economical (up to about 50 miles per gallon) car.

From my point of view though, one of the best features of the car has to be the sound system that comes with it! The sound is amazing to say it's a factory fitted standard! Great nippy little car.

If you think this car is good for the taller driver you should try a car with real headroom like a Fiat Punto or Toyota Yaris. The headroom in the MK 4/5 Fiesta's is one of the worst in the super mini class.

It's such a shame that taller drivers are limited to poor quality cars (check out the Punto reviews) or cars that look like cute Japanese cartoon characters (the Yaris) and have to miss out on what Top Gear have reckoned to be one of the best handling/most fun to drive super-minis since the intro of the Zetec engine.

The Fiesta may be small on space, but more and more small cars are being designed to look like mini estate cars (New Fiesta - not rated for it's driving fun factor, Corsa, Punto etc) and we all know how dull estate cars are :)

If you're a taller driver then buy a bigger car, to the rest of us normal sized people, this car is fantastic. If just had the clock to 25,000 miles and I don't think there is a day if regretted buying this car. I've mad many a modification to her, and had few problems. She looks even better know than she did the day I got her! Nice one ford!

The fiesta finesse (year 2000) is a fab little car. had mine for four years now and have had only usual wear and tear.

I'm fairly tall and I fit into it OK, and yes I agree, it does have good vision, good handling and is a smart little motor for getting to work in and doing the shopping.

I have never regretted a day since I purchased mine, and its done a few miles since I got it.

Well done FORD. This one's a winner.
