"Reliable cheap transportation"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

As expected with higher mileage vehicles, I had to replace the battery and alternator. The only thing that I replaced that wasn't usual was the driver's door handle. But when you really think about it... which handle gets used the most?

General comments?

This has been a wonderful first car for me. I have owned others while still owning this one, but always seem to come back to it. The only thing that I would have to say negative about it would be that a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine is too small for a mid-size sedan.

I agree that the 91 Lumina is a great, inexpensive, reliable car. I have put money into it, but overall, it's been great.

I replaced the suspension bar in the rear, that was $525, installed. SO far, that is the biggest expense. There is the caliper recalls, normal wear and tear... all in all, a great car. It's a 91 and I have 160,000 miles on it.

Cleveland.
