"Generally good with some annoying design issues"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Recline levers for both passenger and driver seats have each broken twice (4 levers in all)

CV joint boot destroyed itself ~ 60,000 miles.

Short in steering column wiring caused turn signal click assembly to click constantly. Apparently, this is a common issue in GM SUVs around this production year, but dealership wanted $400 to fix.

Upholstery wearing badly after 3.5 years.

Rear lift-glass latch assembly requires nearly constant lubrication to maintain proper operation.

Rear differential started to develop problems around 70,000 miles.

Manual transmission has tendency to spontaneously pop out of reverse.

General comments?

Engine reliability is good. Still starts/idles/runs like new after 73,000 miles.

Drive-train seems a little loose. Clunks and such are frequent. Have had some minor to fairly significant drive-train issues.

Seat recline lever mechanism is terrible. The handle's shear off with very little force. Extremely poor construction quality.

There is apparently a design flaw in the steering column wiring that frequently leads to a short in the turn signal electrical system. Happened to me and several other owners I know after less than 3 years/50,000 miles. In one case, led to smoke coming out of the steering column. GM is generally unsympathetic and wants to charge around $400 to fix the problem.
