1999 Isuzu Rodeo LS review from North America
"Shoulda bought a Honda"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have also had problems with my Rodeo.
Damned engine light came on, & around the same time, the engine idle shot up high (around 2500 rpm), the transmission was clunky, & my ABS started locking up (BAD). Turns out it cost me around $500 to have the throttle position sensor & mass airflow sensors replaced, & that seems to have fixed those problems.
I DO have problems with the darned thins eating oil like candy (burns between 2~3 quarts every 3,000 miles), & the engine knocks like a champ at times. What a piece of junk!
General comments?
This truck runs great otherwise, but sucks gas and oil like a mutant Hoover vaccumm cleaner.
If any other people have had the problems above, could be your TPS, &/or MAFS. Anyway, keep me posted on any possible class action lawsuits - mimmowfish@yahoo.com.
