2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 review from North America
"Looks great, but expensive to keep up"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to have a tune up put in at 50,000 miles. Who was it that said they don't need a tune up until 100,000 miles?!
The brakes - you have to put them to the floor before you stop. We thought Flintstone style brakes went out with the dinosaurs.
General comments?
It has a lot of power in the engine.
Don't be fooled by cheap repair costs. For example, $7.00 a spark plug. Spark plug wires will cost you $75.00 for the set. The cost of the repair place will just about put you into heart failure. To have the above work done it was a whopping $310.33. No guarantee that the Service Engine Soon light will stay off.
