1995 Eagle Talon ESI FWD review from North America
"An Old Friend"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've blown 2 head gaskets.
One at 100,000 miles, and the other at 170,000 miles.
I've replaced the both radiator hoses 100,000 miles.
Shortly after I had to replace the thermostat.
I replaced the by-pass hose at 100,000 miles (Dealer Part). Although you can just substitute a piece of 5/8 heater hose.
The timing belt, and water pump had to both be replaced at 110,000. (Ha, right after the warranty)
The transmission was rebuilt at 150,000.
The windows rattle really bad. (Both)
The driver side door sags a small amount. Due the the weight and how wide the door opens.
The visor clip on the driver side has broke 3 times. One costs about $2.50
to replace.
The center console was broken when I bought the car.
The cigarette lighter fell into the console.
The hatch is heavy and hard to open.
Rough idles, occasionally. Sometimes it beautiful.
Cruise control is hard to set because the button doesn't like to stick.
Very little room for passengers.
General comments?
This car is beautiful, but looks can be deceiving.
It will eat a hole in your wallet.
Seats are very comfortable.
This car has good pick-up.
Is fantastic on handling.
Great top end. Slow starts.
