2000 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"It's a good car if that had reputable people to fix them"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have owned my 2000 nissan maxima SE for almost 3 years. The first 2 years it ran fine. The last year has been terrible.
The service engine light went on and I had a terrible spark knock all the time. I took it in to the dealer to get the sparkplugs changed and they told me the engine light stated the "air mass flow" was bad and that would cost about $200 to replace.
Well it already costed me $175 to change 6 plugs. In the mean time my gas pedal started sticking right after I got the plugs changed. I brought the car back there to have the air mass flow meter changed and told them about the gas pedal. It only started this after they worked on my car.
Anyway, they replaced the flow meter and my engine light came back on the next day. I took it back again and now it's an 02 sensor another $200 that I can't afford so I've been driving it like that.
One more thing I brought the car to Autozone. They checked it on that machine for me for free. They told me what codes came up. Thanks for a little help. Nissan is all about making money. If I ever get this car running good it is getting sold and I will never buy another nissan again!!!
