2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT review from North America
"Great car, bad transmission"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Complete transmission failure at 109933 km.
General comments?
This was my first car, 22 years old. I justified spending the money on this car by the fact that it was deemed reliable. My opinion on the car overall is one of uncertainty. I loved everything about the car, but in my opinion an automatic transmission should not fail at 110km or so.
If you plan on purchasing this car be advised to take out extended warranty if possible. I've been dealing with both the dealership and GM to try to rectify the problem, but both claim no responsibility. After much research and discussions with other owners I have come to the conclusion that this isn't an isolated problem.
