General comments?
We purchased our 2000 Chevy Blazer off the lot and brand new. Since we've had this vehicle, we have had over $6,100.00 in repairs. I am the primary driver and do not "beat" my vehicle. My primary use for vehicle is to and from work (highway miles). The vehicle is properly maintained.
Problems began shortly after the warranty. They have included the following:
- 3 sets of wheel bearings. (one warranty)
- ABS indicator malfuncation (hub replaced)
- front joints replaced
- brake light problem (hazard assembly replaced.)
- door hinges need constant greasing
- driver door does not sit correctly
- transmission replaced
- coolant leak (gaskets and lines replaced).
This has been a very expensive car to own. I feel that based on the number of similar problems that many individuals are experiencing there are some definite flaws the manufacturer should be taking care of!
My past 4WD vehicle was a Rodeo. The only problem I had to deal with in that vehicle was a transmission. I know that I will not be purchasing another Blazer. Chevy has definitely lost me as a customer.
