1995 Buick Riviera Supercharged review from North America

After a couple of years I began to have electrical problems and a fluctuation in voltage with the dash lights, but this turned out to be nothing more than a loose ground connection from the battery. Speaking of the battery, the under the rear seat location seems to have extended the battery life, as I did not replace the original battery until almost 80,000 miles.

The supercharger began to make noise at about 80,000 miles also, and I found out that there is one piece inside that transfers the power from the drive to the rotors that failed (still had to buy the whole nose assemble for about $300.00 to replace a 50 cent part), but did this myself - very difficult, but saved $2200.00.

Also had to replace the water pump at about 80,000 miles and at that time I thought about getting rid of the car, but couldn't do it and I am glad I kept it. It still turns heads after 10 years. I put some wider tires on it, which it desperately needed and disabled the leveling controller at the rear wheels (it seemed to want to pump up to the highest level for no reason and I see other Riv's driving around with their ass end high in the air - weird).

The leather has held up great and the car still looks new after 10 years. I could drive almost anything I want and my other car is a Cadillac CTS (it's cool), but I still like my buick better. It helps that it is black on black and supercharged.
