1991 Honda CRX 1.6i-VT review from UK and Ireland
"Bulletproof rocket-ship that still looks gorgeous after 15 years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ignition switch wore out at 124,000 miles.
Heater Rheostat failed at 112,000 miles.
General comments?
This car is fast, agile and extremely well engineered.
Reliability is without question.
It can be wearing on long motorway journeys, due to the road noise from the stiff suspension, but that is not really what this car was built for.
It is an A-B rocket.
It has never missed a beat in 15 years.
As it has been waxoyled every year from new, it has not rusted.
Synthetic oil and 4000 mile oil changes have kept the engine running perfectly.
It is still on the original radiator and clutch.
I just don't understand why Honda stopped producing what must be one of the best cars in the last 25 years.
I often consider putting it away to preserve it, but why deprive myself the driving pleasure this little car gives me.
