1991 Honda CRX mugan tweaked from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Lovely

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I've had a CRX for 6 years and inbetween spent 22k on a Lotus Elise. Don't get me wrong, the Lotus was a top car, but that's gone now (10k lighter!) and my CRX is still going strong. The biggest compliment I could give it is that no one ever has a bad word to say about it, it's quicker than most at the lights, (except when you get your clutch control wrong and it pulls away like a high pitched brick), but hey, I love this car, it gets you from A - B with a touch of pace, It doesn't let you down, it had some class back in the days (and maybe it retains that to this day?) and it doesn't go round the World of Leather roundabout (Sidcup) backwards when you're smashed and egging your missus on to put the accelerator down in your motor (as an Elise does!) Look, if your reading this, (and bearing in mind I'm writing on the site) then you need to get a life, but at the end of the day, when I have to call the end to the CRX's days, I'll miss that car and... well make up your own ending. Chas.

P.S. I went out with two very lovely women who both had a CRX, so it can't be too bad!

1991 Honda CRX Si 1.7 from North America

Summary:

Little car with a lot of features.

Faults:

Air Condition is not working, I'm not sure why, it has not been checked out.

General Comments:

I am 16 and this is my first car.

I am very happy with this car it has done so much for me, I don't think I could want another car.

It's a very quick car having 108 horse power and being that small.

Sound great and get great mileage on the free way, or in a town.

Great to put systems in, Easy wiring.

I know a lot of people my age or around that age group like hooking their car up and a lot of people tell me to put a kit on it or lower it. I really don't like all of that stuff, I think the car looks great just in stock, but I will change the wheels on it to some 16in Alloy rims.

The CRX handles like a baby around corners

I would suggest this car to any one, young or old, for the price it is a deal.

Honda has always been good to us, all of our cars are Honda's and we will never switch.

I hope this helps.

Agree with the review. Don't listen to the mod-kids. The Mk2 CRX is such a beautiful and stylish car, sticking stuff on it is like peeing on a Picasso.

Keep your baby as it is and cherish it.

1991 Honda CRX DX 1.6 SOHC from North America

Summary:

A quick fuel efficient car making it a bargain of a used car

Faults:

Had to replace the radiator.

Had to replace the clutch at 165,000.

Replaced ignition module and coil at 160000.

Ignition switch needs replacement.

Valve stem seals need replacement.

General Comments:

It is extremely fuel efficient averaging about 41 MPG.

Also for a 92HP motor the car is fairly quick, keeping up with my 96 Integera up until it reaches the high RPM ranges.

The car handles extremely well, making it a joy to drive on windy roads.

Although its not a large car the storage capacity is immense making road trips for two or grocery shopping a breeze.

Maintenance costs are getting to be pricey because of the cost of honda parts, but considering it's an old car, it has been pretty average in reliability.

The engine is strong running even with it pushing 200000 miles making it seem that it will run forever.

Another thing I'm surprised with is even though it is a small car, the engine compartment allows a fair amount of room to work with.

Thank you for posting your review! I just bought my DX and the clutch went out glad. I'm not the only one! Also great to hear what good gas mileage it gets!
