1999 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"I would buy an Accord instead-from a reliability standpoint!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ignition Coil-RH (rear) -see my comments for repair info!!
CD player stopped playing CDs/Bose.
Right front strut.
Rear bumper cover damaged by trunk.
General comments?
Ignition Coil Solution Link************
I had the same problem as everyone else with my 2000 SE. Shuttering, rough idle etc.
Here is a fantastic link so that you can make the Simple repair yourself and save hundreds!!!

The only confusion I had was with the correct part to buy. There are two part numbers 22448-2y0000 and 22448-2y001 each for the RH (rear coils--next to the firewall). I assume they are interchangeable, but I can't seem to get clarification. I know that dealers are still stocking 2y0000 for the 2000 maxima, but I think that the 2y001 may be the updated ignition coil.
Anyhow, good luck with the repair!
