2000 Buick LeSabre Custom review from North America
"GM stop using cheap parts and build a car that lasts!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driving to CA while charging rechargeable batteries in the 12V system. All Dash Lights come on...then...Dash goes out (no spedo, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, temp gauge, shift indicator, etc).
Restart and they come on then off... do that for a couple of min. then they come back and the odometer reads error. (Any Ideas!!!)
Been like that since. Still flicker every-time car is started (gauges/needles come on/off) then.
Runs and Drives fine otherwise.
General comments?
Car gets 29.25/MPG on the open road @ 75/MPH and cruises comfortably. Beats any other car in power/economy. My Kia Optima 4cyl manages only 27 and with a whole less power.
Loads of room inside and smooth riding. (remove plastic ears near the seat adjusters that trip your entry/exit) and (remove the silly plastic protective cover in trunk).
Rides low front and rear (pulling out of what seemed like a small pitched driveway manages to scrape the front engine supports and the rear muffler)
Prefer the muffler/suspension design of previous generation (92-99).
Nice car, but GM tried too much to reduce costs and everything seems cheaper in this model then my others.
Will buy another one... prob Lucurne when it becomes reasonable enough.
