1985 Chevrolet Camaro Berlineta 5L 305 V8 4brl Carb from North America

Summary:

Muscle Car Heaven

Faults:

Minor leaks from T-tops, easy to fix.

Passenger door rusted out at bottom. Easy to fix.

General Comments:

Still has a lot of balls. Had a tune-up done, oil change, auto transmission, and rear differential done. Car runs like brand new. Already bought a new door, just have too put it on. Getting new paint job in Spring. Car has a lot of power, very hard not too fall in love with this car. Good steering on turns even at high speeds. I don't think there is a car out there that could take this car out except for it's brother the Corvette. Parts are very cheap to buy and install.

1985 Chevrolet Camaro F41 org. 305 V8, now 500 V8 from North America

Summary:

A powerful and well built American Machine

Faults:

The typical things have gone wrong with this car since it is 18 years old.

The seat belt broke, belts broke, rust, it was wrecked once and etc.

However, the car has always bounced back with full force.

The car has balls and is a demon of its own. I strongly recommend this car.

Just don't drive it in the winter, ha ha. I have some good stories about that... (let's just say, get a long rope and tie it to the front wheels, and steer it like a sled!) :-)

General Comments:

The car is now a member of our drag race team in western PA. A new engine and paint job has made this car the meanest and most reliable car at the strip. The car runs in the 10s at 150mph+.

The only compliant I have, when I drove it as a regular car the tops leaked big time and the engine light was always on. When it was diagnosed it said the O2 sensors needed replaced. Well, after they were replaced, it kept saying they needed replaced. Who knows...

1985 Chevrolet Camaro Sports Coupe 2.8 Multi Port V6 from North America

Summary:

The Camaro is bye far the best performance sports car for a small amount of money!

Faults:

The car hasn't really had any problems since I purchased it. After about two months though, I had to completely replace all of the exhaust.

After a number of seriosly wicked burn outs, the first gear I'm my five speed standard transmission blew out and hasn't worked right since.

General Comments:

My Camaro is really fast, has excellent acceleration, and wonderful handling.

My only qualms are with the all plastic dash area.

Also the back seats are not very practical to get in and out of.

1985 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta 305 5.0L V8 from North America

Summary:

American muscle at it's worst

Faults:

I have replaced the heater core.

It needs new head gaskets and valve cover gaskets.

The digital dash and odometer don't work, and the windshield wipers don't turn off.

Battery loses power if the keys are left in the ignition, even with everything off.

Car is extremely heavy and the engine is very very hesitant and sluggish.

General Comments:

Car handles OK for being very heavy.

Interior is comfortable and in very good shape for being 18 years old.

Body in great shape with absolutely no rust.

For 2000$ I'm pretty sure I got ripped off, especially with what I've put into it.

At least a 2000 watt stereo system makes it sound good.

Overall it's an underpowered pile of crap.

A dream car for any teenager or adult

Faults:

Nothing has really gone wrong except the head liner is starting to fall.

The radiator needed to be replaced.

General Comments:

This is the fastest car I have ever owned.

It is a all around good performer.

Really comfortable car to drive and ride in.
